Oh! Christina and Loretta are at it again! Yes, we are! The downtown heartthrob Works Cited, LLC is closing early on December 17th to begin renovations for The Works Cafe. The bookstore, studio, and coffee shop, located in the Chamber of Commerce building, are excited to announce the swift arrival of a significant part of the business, the cafe.
Works Cited, LLC projects all renovations will be complete by January 2nd, and will reopen on January 3rd, 2010. Renovation plans include The Works Cafe, breakfast and lunch menu, coffee bar, and an updated book inventory.
So, what’s on the menu? Good question. We will provide menus on our website www.works-cited.com very soon. For now, here’s a sneak peek -
Midwest Coffee Roasting Company will provide:
- The Works Blend – Mild
- Works Hard, Italian Roast – Bold
- The Works, Daydream – Decaf
- Chicken Salad
- Tuna Salad
- Cookies!!
Arbor Shire Enterprises will provide:
- Assortment of Bagels
- Seasonal English Muffins
- Cream Cheeses
- Hot Pepper Jelly!!
- Yogurt w/granola, or w/o.
- Yummy Soups
- More!! Oh, yes, much more.
Never fear! The Works Cafe hours will be the same as Works Cited, LLC.
Monday through Saturday, 7 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Owners, Christina Carter and Loretta Walker, scheduled the Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting for The Works Cafe on January 17th, 2010 at 10 a.m. The Grand Opening party will last all week! More information will be posted in the next couple of weeks on our entertainment and activities schedule.
